If you liked From Software's PS4 exclusive action role-playing game Bloodborne, then you're in luck, as there's currently an expansion in the works.

Bloodborne came out back in March this year, and it quickly grew a cult following. The game's mysterious setting and challenging melee combat made it an instant hit, and Sony acknowledged that it sold even better than the company had expected.

Although we are far from unveiling its every secret, many gamers have been asking whether the game will be getting any DLC in the future, and it seems that Sony has something much better in store.

SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida has addressed the question, by tweeting that an expansion is coming and that more information will be revealed later this year.

Granted, the news isn't that shocking, since From Software's previous game, Dark Souls 2, got three pieces of post-release content, and since Bloodborne is now one of the PlayStation 4's hottest exclusives, Sony was bound to offer us more.

We might be getting more than just some DLC

Now, since Yoshida has used the specific word "expansion," we're most likely looking at something bigger than your average DLC pack. It's certainly going to be interesting to see what the Japanese developer does next, since the game's story, though obfuscated, seems to be pretty self-sufficient as is.

We might even see the game's upcoming content make an appearance next month, during this year's edition of the E3 convention.

Since Microsoft likely has some solid exclusives lined up, in the form of Halo 5: Guardians, Fable Legends, Forza Motorsport 6, Crackown 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and a new game from Rare, the makers of Bajo-Kazooie and Conker, Sony has to find something at least equally impressive.

For the time being, the company's slate is pretty blank, so Sony might be planning a few surprises, in addition to the expected Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Until Dawn, and Ratchet & Clank.

In any case, if you don't believe the hype and want to know what exactly makes the game so great, you can check out our review of Bloodborne.
