Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile is currently delivering a new software update for its Xperia E and Xperia E Dual devices out there, most probably in an attempt to patch some issues found in these phones.

Users who have already installed the new firmware on their handsets report that no significant changes are visible there, which suggests that only minor fixes and enhancements were included in the update.

Owners of Sony Xperia E handsets will see the new software release arriving on their smartphones as version number 11.3.A.2.33, based on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, just as the previously released firmware flavor (11.3.A.2.23) was, XperiaBlog notes.

Those of you who own an Xperia E Dual handset, however, should see the new update arriving as firmware version 11.3.A.3.1 (it has been released for all C1604 and C1605 models, the news site reports).

Apparently, the FTF files for both updates are already available for download online, so those who don’t want to wait for Sony to deliver them to their phones could take matter into their own hands.

As mentioned above, no specific info on what the new platform releases bring along has been provided as of now, but chances are that Sony will reveal these details soon, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
