It’s been a busy weeks for Sony Mobile. The Japanese company announced two new Xperia phones that will be launched on the market in Q3 2012, the Xperia miro and Xperia tipo (tipo dual).

However, rumor has it that Sony plans to announce more devices by the end the month, which will be released beginning August.

According to XperiaBlog, the Japanese handset maker will launch its second-generation NXT series, which comprises no less than four smartphones: Xperia C, E, Y and Z.

Unlike the mid-tier Sony Xperia miro, tipo and tipo dual smartphones, these unannounced devices will be better featured in all aspects.

For example, all four Xperia phones will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 chipset and will be PlayStation Certified. In addition, the handset will come with Walkman music player for those Android fans who want exceptional sound quality.

XperiaBlog also mentions that Xperia C, E, Y and Z will sport OLED displays and Cybershot camera lenses from the T camera series.

Although all four second-generation NXT series devices will be superior to the latest Xperia phones announced by Sony, it appears that Xperia Z will be the company’s new Android flagship smartphone.

Word is that Sony will come forward with the new NXT series on June 20, though the information has yet to be confirmed. The Xperia Z is expected to arrive on the market sometime in August, while the other three Xperia smartphones are expected to hit shelves in July.

So far, these are no additional details on the rumored Xperia phones, though we might find out more in the following days, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.

In the same piece of news, it looks like at least three second-generation NXT series devices will be launched on the market at the same time with the latest mid-range Xperia phone announced by Sony a few days ago.
