Sony Mobile is gearing up for the release of a new software update for its Xperia T and Xperia TX smartphones, and has already received certification for it.

Expected to be pushed to devices as firmware 7.0.A.3.212, the new update has already been spotted at the PTCRB and is expected to bring along various bug fixes over the current software on these devices, namely 7.0.A.3.197.

Unfortunately, no specific details on what it might include have emerged.

The new firmware release receives certification only a few weeks after Sony started the delivery of the 7.0.A.3.XXX firmware to its Xperia T and Xperia TX devices.

As XperiaBlog notes, the previous firmware release brought Wi-Fi Miracast screen mirroring to these smartphones, along with new media icons and extended standby mode, as well as a series of other enhancements, such as new Small Apps.
