Video game hardware maker Sony says that at least 100 titles will be launched on the PlayStation 4 home console in 2014, with details on the most important of them set to be offered in the coming months.

The company says via its Twitter account that many of them will be surprising for fans of the new gaming platform.

Sony did not use the word “new,” which means that some of the 100 games might have already been offered on the PlayStation 3 or the Vita and are only getting updated in order to work with the new hardware.

The most high-profile coming experiences for the PlayStation 4 include DriveClub, Destiny, InFamous: Second Son.

Sony has already revealed that it has managed to sell 4.2 million devices before the end of 2013, which puts its next-gen platform ahead of the rival Xbox One from Microsoft.
