We will speak again about Sony's upcoming PlayStation 3, as it is said that the gaming console's hardware might not be ready on time, according to X-bit Labs.
It seems that the rumors started during the E3 dedicated IT & C event during which the developers of 'gaming titles' created especially for the PS3 demonstrated the capabilities of their games on … PCs and not on the upcoming PS3.
From what we know up until now, it could get nasty, as the "unrevealed
source" said that the game designers used advanced gaming PCs to illustrate how will their games look like on a PS3. This was the problem… several manufacturers preferred to cheat on the E3 visitors by hiding the PCs behind a perfect PS3 showcase.
This unknown person added that the game developers used advanced PCs which featured very powerful graphic cards such as Nvidia GeForce 7900 or ATI Radeon X1900.
Sony and other game manufacturers preferred not to comment upon such serious allegations, and I wonder why… The source added that no visitor was able to use the PS3 or to get near the console when it was functioning.
Earlier this month, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced that it will release the "Clear Black" version of PS3 in North America on November 17, 2006, as part of a worldwide simultaneous launch.
With the overwhelming computational power of the Cell processor, PS3 is capable of playing back content from Blu-ray (BD) disc at a rate of multiplex 48Mbps with ease, the maximum bit rate defined in BD standards.
It is said that the controller for PS3 employs a high-precision, highly sensitive six-axis sensing system that is capable of processing all parameters within the controller itself, thereby eliminating the need for any additional settings on the display system. By applying this technology, it will become possible to freely control the PS3 system over the network.
