The American press is delighted with the mobile console recently launched after long waiting and delays which displeased the fans. However, the sales have established new popularity records, and one can say that PSP is successful and is selling like crazy in the United States.

The main advantage PSP has over Nintendo DS, gaming solution launched only 3 weeks ago, is the function of displaying photographs and videos.

The mobile consoles have started to assume more and more functions of their relatives, the fixed systems.

A comparison between the two consoles proves that from the performance point of view, the differences are small.

Both of them have a selling price of 200 USD. The displaying systems are quite different, and Sony has a clear advantage over the double screen and touchscreen chosen by Nintendo.

The accurate and fast WLAN connection solutions but also the reliability of game controllers have been equally appreciated for both systems. The possibility of the Nintendo DS to be connected with other 15 consoles and the Gameboy Advance compatibility are both important bonuses.

Many users consider PSP's design as being elegant and stylish, but the Widescreen (9.5 x 5.5 centimeters) is not the best solution although the image quality is far superior to the Nintendo console. Viewing movies on a widescreen display with such dimensions doesn't ensure the best image formatting.
