Sony announces that all problems linked to the PlayStation Network and the attached store are now solved and that users should be able to access all content normally.

The official European Twitter account of the company states, “The issues on the Store have now been resolved, thanks for your patience! We will continue to monitor the situation.”

Problems started earlier in the day when users reported that they were unable to connect to their accounts and the store.

The Japanese division of Sony has confirmed that the PSN had a problem and that an investigation is ongoing.

The company is not ready to talk about what happened and what the reasons for the downtime were.

Sony was hit by a big cyber-attack in 2011, which took PSN down for months and led to an increase in defensive measures.
