Only for users with US-based PSN, Qriocity and SOE accounts

The class action settlement that Sony announced last year following the PSN outage from 2011, when the service was offline for PlayStation 3 and PSP owners, is now in the stage where the Japanese company is accepting claims.

Basically, those who owned a US PSN account, or Qriocity or SOE, prior to May 15, 2011, could be getting free stuff from Sony, including services, games or other content.

Depending on whether or not your account has been affected by the 2011 PSN outage, as well as how many “Welcome Back” promos you’ve been taking advantage of, you will then be entitled to file a claim and receive something for free from Sony.

You can choose one of the three options made available by Sony

Here are the PlayStation 3 games Sony is giving away to those who file for a claim: God of War HD, Infamous, Little Big Planet and Super Stardust HD, Dead Nation, Rain, Puppeteer, Invizimals: Lost Kingdom.

In addition, PSP players who qualify for the claim can choose one of the following free games: LittleBigPlanet, MidNation Racers, Patapon 3, Killzone Liberation, WipEout, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror.

There’s also an option to choose up to three free themes from the following: WipEout HD Dynamic Theme, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Dynamic Theme, The Last of Us Dynamic Theme, Ratchet & Clank Dynamic Theme, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Dynamic Theme.

The third option is only available to those who are not already PlayStation Plus subscribers and included free membership for three months. Those who are already PS+ members will have to choose one of the two options above.

The deadline for filing a claim is August 21, 2015, so you still have until around 7 months to make up your mind. Once again, this offer only applies to US-based account, it’s not available for other regions.
