The folks at Sony Alpha Rumors somehow got a hold of some images depicting a certain camcorder that Sony will release in a couple of months.
Equipped with a 16 megapixel Exmor APS-C sensor (or a better one), the product will be capable of 24p recording of 1080p images, at 24p.
An OLED XGA viewfinder is part of the spec sheet, as is a nice big zoom control on the grip. Some may recognize the lens as being of the E-mount type (18-200 with power zoom).
Unfortunately, that's all we can say about this so-called Sony NEX-VG30. While the two press shots did get leaked, the specs were not, so we still have to wait to see if this item really is worth $1,800.
That's 1424 Euro, according to exchange rates, although chances are that the European price will be closer to 1700 or even the full 1800 Euro.
