Sony NEX-7 Up for Pre-Order Again, But Ships in April 2012

The floods in Thailand have spelled delays for many products that were supposed to come out in these last few months, including Sony who was forced to delay the launch of its NEX-7 camera.

Since then, the company has managed to get production back on track and already shipped its first NEX-7 to their rightful owners, although these weren’t enough to fit all orders.

The good news however is that Sony has now listed the NEX-7 back on its website (thanks to Ubergizmo for spotting this) where is available for pre-order with the body-only option setting you back $1,199.99 (918 EUR), while the model with the 18-55mm lens will go for $1,349.99 (1,032 EUR).

The only catch is that the estimated shipping date is set for the 3rd of April 2012, which is a long wait by any standard.

In the end, the decision is up to you, but you could throw an eye at the competition to see how their solutions stack up against Sony’s NEX-7.
