The website of Sony Music Brazil has been defaced by a hacker in what continues to be a long series of security breaches involving Sony's web properties.

The compromise happened sometime on Saturday night and the rogue front page remained up for over twelve hours.

It's not clear if any sensitive data was compromised, the hacker only leaving a message that read: “Hacked The UnderTaker Return The Legent Ottoman-Empire | Old School Group World Wars Protest No war!

The website has since been taken down and remains offline at the time of writing this article. Sony Music has not released any official statement regarding the incident.

This is the second Sony Music website hacked in the past couple of weeks. The LulzSec hacking outfit previously hacked into Sony Music Online's Japanese website and leaked information about its database.

The hackers didn't extract or publish any information found inside, but made the SQL injection vulnerability they used public. This means that anyone could have went in to steal the data before Sony Music had time to react.

Sony has come under heavy fire from hackers since its legal crackdown against George "geohot" Hotz and others who hacked the PlayStation 3 gaming console. Barely a few days pass by without a new compromise involving one of the company's subsidiaries being announced.

One of the latest hacks involved SonyPictures.com and resulted in the exposure of personal information of 1 million people who had accounts on the website.

For the most part Sony has been careful in responding to and commenting these attacks, probably to avoid any further escalation. Hackers are trying to make a statement - that they will not be silenced by any corporation, regardless of how big it is. Unfortunately, this is being done at the expense of consumers who get their personal information posted online.
