14 DAY TRIAL // Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z4 flagship is present in the news more and more frequently, and this is a clear indication that the new phone is not far from being unveiled.

We’ve already seen the phone’s casing leak into the wild, which revealed a bunch of interesting details about the unannounced phone.
Sony accidentally shows us the Xperia Z4
Well, this week, it appears Sony itself has gone a little ahead of itself and accidentally posted a render of a mysterious, upcoming Xperia Z device (as seen at GSM Dome). And we have to assume it’s the Xperia Z4 that we’re seeing in the image.
The phone reveals a very square design with extremely thin bezels on the side. Interestingly enough, we notice the absence of the classic Xperia metal On/Off button.
The purported Xperia Z4 will apparently arrive with a metal frame encasing the phone. With this new model, Sony seems to be taking a lot of design cues from up and rising Chinese companies like ZTE and Meizu, but since we can’t vouch this is the real deal, you’d better take this info with a grain of salt.
Recent leaks also told us to expect the Xperia Z4 to be a tad sleeker in frame than the current Xperia Z3, although the difference will be quite negligible (1mm / 0.44 inches).
The Sony Xperia Z4 might lack some key aspects
It also appears that Sony won’t be making the Xperia Z4 waterproof like its previous iterations, meaning that the new handset won’t adopt the distinctive waterproof capabilities Sony phones are known for.
Another negative aspect we might have to deal with is that the Xperia Z4 won’t be coming with a microSD card. Sony seems to be jumping in the same boat as Samsung, who also decided to sacrifice the microSD card in its latest Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones.
As for specs, the Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to arrive in 1080p and QHD versions, plus a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor on the inside. The rumor mill also claims the phone will be equipped with a 21MP camera with a new Exmor RS IMX230 sensor.
