14 DAY TRIAL // Today, mobile phone maker Sony Mobile officially unveiled two new handsets in its Xperia lineup, namely the previously leaked Xperia SP and Xperia L.
The new Xperia SP is said to hit the market with 4G LTE connectivity packed inside, while also featuring a razor-sharp HD screen, while the Xperia L will arrive on the market with great camera capabilities with HDR.
Sony Xperia SP will hit shelves with a super-bright 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, an 8-megapixel photo snapper inside, with “Exmor RS for mobile,” and HDR and Superior Auto for the best photos, and Google’s Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean platform loaded on top.
The handset also sports a co-molded aluminum frame, one-touch functions with NFC to deliver content to a TV or to share files between devices, and the aforementioned 4G LTE connectivity capabilities.
The handset will also land on shelves with Battery STAMINA Mode for optimum battery life, a 1.7GHz dual-core Krait processor, a 2370 mAh battery, 8GB of internal memory, microSD card slot, front camera for video calling, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and MHL port.
The smartphone will arrive on shelves in white, red and black color variations, and is expected to become available for purchase in the second quarter of the year.
Also slated for a Q2 release, the Xperia L will hit shelves with a 4.3-inch FWVGA screen, an 8-megapixel fast-capture photo snapper on the back, and the same NFC capabilities as Xperia SP. The Battery STAMINA Mode will also be loaded on this handset.
The phone sports a 1GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, a 1750mAh battery, and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on top. Sony plans on launching Xperia L in white, red and black.
