Both of them are already shipping from online retailers

Two new Android smartphones from Sony are now available for purchase for users in India, namely the Xperia miro and Xperia SL.

The release of these phones in India shows increased interest from Sony towards the local market, although devices are still featuring high price tags.

Apparently, online retailers have already started to ship these two devices to those who placed orders for them, the guys over at AndroidOS.in report.

At the moment, the Sony Xperia SL is available for purchase for INR 30,999 ($575 / €440), while the new Xperia miro is being sold for INR 14,499 ($268 / €205).

Sony’s Xperia SL was made available as a high-end smartphone, featuring a 4.3-inch touchscreen display on the front, capable of delivering a 720p resolution.

The handset is powered by a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm MSM8260 dual-core processor complemented by 1GB of RAM and comes with 32B of internal memory.

Xperia SL also sports a 12.1MP photo snapper on the back, with HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 1.3MP camera on the front for making video calls. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and FM Radio were also included inside it.

Xperia miro comes with a much smaller 3.5-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 320×480 pixels resolution, while featuring only an 800 MHz Cortex-A5 processor complemented by 512 MB of RAM. It also comes with a VGA front camera for making video calls.

The specs list of this smartphone also includes 4GB storage (2.2GB user available), a 5MP photo snapper on the back, with pulsed LED flash, and Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system loaded on it.
