When you think of tablets, you don’t necessarily tend to associate them with photography. Sure, most of them come bundling decent snappers, but they are not enough for users to take their 10-inchers for a photo trip.

However, in Japan, things are about to change. Sony is launching a new line of camera lens, which specifically addresses tablets featuring a width between 85 mm / 3.35 inches and 190 mm / 7.48 inches.

Sony might have designed the lens with its own Xperia and Vaio slates in mind, but apparently, the photo accessory will be compatible with just any tablet on the market.

The SPA-TA1 tablet accessory has been designed for DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 lens-style cameras and will be made available in 6 different arm sizes. Sony Japan lists them with a starting price of $35 / €26, but if you pre-order one now, you can save up to 10%.
