Sony Japan Unveils Low-End Walkman Series NW-E060 and NW-E062

Sony Japan is getting ready to start selling a new batch of so-called Walkmans, the NW-E060 series to be precise.

As reported here, they will have capacities of 4GB and 2GB and, 1.4-inch screens, FM radio and various audio features, like five-band equalizer, Clear Stereo, Clear Bass and Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE).

Black, Blue, Pink and Red color options will be available at launch (February 11, 2012).

Furthermore, earphones will be part of the product package, in black for the black/red walkmans and white for the blue and pink models.

The price of the 4GB gadgets will be 11,000 yen ($140 / 108 Euro), while the 2GB Walkmans are expected to sell for 9,000 yen ($115 / 88.69 Euro).

Finally, consumers may choose to get a NW-E063K, where K means that a dedicated speaker stand is included. The 4GB version will retail at 13,000 yen ($166 / 128.11 Euro) while the 2GB will ship for 11,000 yen ($140 / 108 Euro).
