Quite a lot of new features are being considered for the PS4

Sony has effectively confirmed that it's thinking about introducing a one-time name change for PlayStation Network users, not to mention a dynamic theme or user interface for the PS4.

The PlayStation 4 is doing really well in terms of sales, crossing the 7-million-unit mark, and Sony has revealed earlier this week that plenty of fresh features are coming to the platform, including better sharing options and a video editor.

Now, Sony's Director of Product Planning and Software Innovation Scott McCarthy has confirmed on the PS blog a few other future features that might make it to the PS4.

First up, it seems that the console maker will allow PSN users at least one change for their account name, saying that "One time use is the norm. We get why it’s important. Gamers change and mature, just like the console."

What's more, McCarthy has also revealed that, given the popularity of dynamic themes on the PS3, it's possible that the user interface of the PS4 might soon be available for customization, although it's still listening to feedback from console owners.

"We know you guys love dynamic themes on PS3 and look forward to evolving the idea for PS4… How would you evolve dynamic themes given the flow of the PS4 UI? We’re listening… let us know! Lots of comments about personalizing data and UI look. We’re listening."

As of yet, however, it's unclear when Sony plans on introducing these new features.
