With the upcoming launch of the
PlayStation 3, rumors about peripherals and cables included have started to appear.
According to Famitsu, no HDMI or D cables will be included in the Japanese version of the upcoming PS3 games console. All the hardware needed for high definition playback, things like HDMI port, Blu-Ray drive and Cell processor will be included, but no wiring to support it.
Maybe next we will see Sony announcing that the
PS3 will not have any joysticks or any power cables. Who knows? Gamers all around the world believe that Sony should include all things necessary in the PlayStation packages. There is no memory card, no second joystick, no nothing.
On top of Sony's game consoles being very expensive, gamers have to buy many things that are required for the gaming experience to complete. For saving games, gamers require the small but precious memory card. Imagine playing complex games like Final Fantasy and not being able to save them. Somebody tried that (he tried it because he had no other option). He bought a PS2, and of course no memory card came with it. He went home and started playing and he advanced so much in the game that he realized that if he will turn off the game he will not be able to reach that far in the game anymore. Because he couldn't save his game, he kept the console running for 3 weeks straight and was continuously praying not to die (in-game of course) because he will be forced to start over again.
Finally, his dog managed to flip over his console by accident and that was the end of that gaming adventure. Of course he cursed Sony for hours and hours, but finally went out and bought himself a memory card.
