Sony has just introduced a brand new program for its loyal customers, titled PS Plus Specials, delivering exclusive sales on select titles from its consoles' library.

The company has decided to listen to the feedback from its customers, demanding to be pampered and to feel special, and has introduced a brand new program offering exclusive discounts for its PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The deals will be available to PS Plus members only, and will deliver discounts on some of the newest video games and add-ons. To illustrate the kind of deals gamers can expect, the company kicked off the initiative with a 20 percent discount on some of the most popular PlayStation 4 exclusive titles, Ready at Dawn's The Order: 1886 and From Software's Bloodborne.

In addition to this, the first PS Plus Specials deal includes bundles from Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, to Helldivers, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, and Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk.

Bait and switch or genuine value?

You can see the full lineup on the PlayStation Blog. The listed deals are valid from now through Monday, June 1, and offer exclusive discounts of up to 30 percent on a ton of great games.

Of course, the initiative is good, but hardly good enough, since even the headliners can be found cheaper used, on Amazon or at other retailers.

PlayStation Plus discounts have also been part of the regular store updates, so here's to hoping that this isn't merely a re-skin of an already existing feature.

The good thing to take out of this is the fact that Sony is finally moving, experimenting with ways to offer its customers more. The idea is definitely good, and hopefully, future iterations will bring even better deals for PS Plus subscribers, maybe even digital product deals that can beat the prices of physical goods, as crazy as that might sound.
