The Indian smartphone market is thriving, as most handset makers are trying to bring their products to consumers' attention in this country. Samsung, LG, Microsoft, HTC, Sony, Motorola, Lenovo and other important brands have been fiercely competing on the Indian smartphone market for a few years now.

However, native companies are also a force to be reckoned, as many of them are among top 5 most prolific handset makers in the country.

The best-selling smartphones in India belong to the low- and mid-range category because they are the cheapest. Sony is already present on the Indian market with several budget-friendly smartphones, which are selling pretty well.

The last one launched in India is Sony Xperia E4, which was officially announced earlier this year. Today, the Japanese company has silently launched the 4G LTE version of the Xperia E4.

It comes with dual-SIM and 4G LTE support

The handset has just been listed on Sony's official website, which means that it's likely to hit shelves in the next few weeks. The Xperia E4g will be available for Rs 13,290 ($210 / €195) outright.

Unlike the international version of Xperia E4g, the Indian model offers dual-SIM support, which is a mandatory feature for smartphone released in this country.

Other than that, the Xperia E4g comes with typical specs for an affordable smartphone. It sports a 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and a 2,300 mAh non-removable battery.

On the inside, the handset is equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.

There's also a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features LED flash, autofocus and HD (720p) video recording, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel camera on the front.
