Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile is expected to unveil a new flagship Android-based smartphone in early September in Germany at the IFA 2013 show, and rumor has it that it might call it Xperia Z1.

The device has already been confirmed to arrive before the end of this year, although the official announcement is still weeks away, yet nothing has been unveiled specifically on the phone’s naming until now.

However, a report from XDA-Developers claims that the handset, previously known as Sony Honami, will be indeed called Xperia Z One.

As techkiddy notes, the smartphone should pack a 5-inch full HD screen, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

Furthermore, it should hit shelves with a 20-megapixel photo snapper on the back, front camera for video calling, and Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.
