As its official unveiling on September 4 draws nearer, Sony’s Homani smartphone is emerging on different certification forums, the latest of which is the FCC, where the device has made an appearance en route to Japan’s NTT DoCoMo.

The smartphone was spotted there with model number SO-01F attached, which clearly suggests that it would be launched at this wireless carrier. It can be seen on this page on the feds’ website.

No official confirmation on the matter has emerged until now, but Sony is expected to provide specific details on the handset’s landing at NTT DoCoMo during the IFA conference in Berlin.

As XperiaBlog notes, the smartphone is expected to land on shelves in at least four different models, namely C6902/L39h, C6903, C6906, and, of course, SO-01F. The C6903 and C6906 versions should pack LTE connectivity when launched.
