Sony and Housemarque Games, the companies behind the recent Super Stardust Delta game on the PlayStation Vita, have decided to highlight the game’s variety of features, in order to get even more people interested in the downloadable title.

The PlayStation Vita’s launch last month was a successful one, especially in terms of games, as all sorts of titles were released as retail and digital copies.

Among the most popular Vita games on the PlayStation Store there was Super Stardust Delta, a new installment in the futuristic twin-stick shooter series.

Sony and developer Housemarque Games have talked about the title earlier this year and have now decided to highlight the variety of features included in the game, so check them out below.

“First of all, every planet is new, with new enemies, and new end Bosses – and boy are they big! If you play the game in “Delta” mode, the player ship gets equipped with a new boost system that temporarily slows down time at the start of the boost, enabling players to navigate through tight spots with greater accuracy,” Housemarque revealed.

Various smart bombs are now available, as well as different game modes that keep the experience fresh every time you start the game up.

“We have the three new types of smart bombs – Black Hole, Missile Strike, and EMP bomb, activated using PS Vita controls like rear touch, motion control, and touch screen,” the studio continued. “Delta also has a bunch of different game modes – more than in any Stardust game to date! Five of those are brand new “mini-games”, built in and exclusive to the PS Vita. The “Advanced Fighter Pack” DLC adds four further modes familiar from Super Stardust HD (“Endless”, “Impact”, etc).”

The studio also mentioned that, for the first time in the Super Stardust series, players are finally able to collect Stardust, a kind of debris left behind by destroyed enemies and asteroids. This can be used to buy new power-ups and gain some nifty bonuses that improve your score.

Super Stardust Delta is currently available in a regular version and in a Galactic Bundle one, which includes the aforementioned Advanced Fighter Pack DLC.
