Today, the mobile phone is more of a must-have than ever before. Even more, since everybody else is using one, it's only natural that a special agent have a special phone. In the upcoming James Bond movie, “Quantum of Solace,” James Bond (played by Daniel Craig) is the proud owner of a special-edition silver C902 Sony Ericsson phone. Quite understandably, the only next natural thing to do for Sony Ericsson was to launch a multi-million-pound marketing campaign for this special-edition silver C902.

The campaign takes the Bond persona beyond the big screen and brings it into the life of regular users, since they will be able to purchase the same device as the one used in the movie by the famous secret agent. Highlighting the high definition capabilities of the phone, the campaign will provide a platform for global brand messaging and, at the same time, allow for the customization of elements, based on the market preferences of each region.

“Sophistication, quality and international appeal make James Bond a perfect fit with the Sony brand,” said Chief Marketing Officer, Sony Corporation, Andrew House. “This is the first time we have integrated our film and electronics marketing efforts at such a deep level, bringing together Sony’s leadership in high definition with one of the world’s most powerful movie franchises. Sony is unique in its ability to create a global marketing campaign that combines technological innovation with entertainment content in this way.”

The mobile operator O2 will be the exclusive distribution partner for the handset in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Sony Style online stores in Europe will sell licensed 007 products like VAIO computers and Micro Vault media.

So, James Bond fans, here is your chance to get your hands on all those goodies you always dreamed of, and all thanks to Sony's campaign.
