Great for when fighting in the jungle

Sony Ericsson Z320 just received a new look, with a camouflage pattern that will surely appeal only to a limited audience. The Fifty Five DSL edition will join the default three colors of red, blue and silver, all looking more average than this one which certainly looks to stand out.

Sony Ericsson Z320 is a low end clamshell unveiled this summer. It manages to bring only average performances and has few talents, which explains the need for a radical look change. From the plain, but rich colors it came in, the handset now turned into a jungle man action device. The phone looks like targeting towards fighters wearing camouflage uniforms, but it might appeal to some urban regular people that want to stand out as well.

The phone's original design actually made it look rather bulky, as its 20 mm thickness goes well past the slimness that many other similar devices have gotten us used to seeing. The phone comes equipped with only 12 MB of internal memory, which can be increased through microSD cards.

Interestingly enough, Sony Ericsson Z320 supports WAP 2.0 websites, as well as xHTML ones. Moreover, it also includes a 1.3 megapixel camera for shooting photos and videos too at a rather average quality. There is nothing impressive about it, as many other handsets are capable of handling this type of actions. In fact, the camouflage pattern looks more like a desperate scream for attention coming from the producer, in order to get the device noticed when not in the jungle.

The Fifty Five DSL edition also comes with the Diesel logo on the back and will be available in two colors of brown and black, with a repetitive pattern. The price should be just about the same, although the producer did not mention anything about the exact market where this limited edition will be released.
