Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson has just announced the upcoming availability of two new handsets

in its mini series, the Xperia mini and the Xperia mini pro, and the company already released a video commercial meant at providing users with a fast overview of the main features the Xperia mini packs inside.

The new mini device comes with a small 3-inch (320 x 480 pixels) scratch-resistant, multi-touch glass touchscreen display, but still packs features that would make users feel as if they were holding one of its larger counterparts.

For example, the device sports the Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, just as the Xperia arc or the Xperia PLAY smartphones that have just landed on shelves to.

Moreover, it comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with the ability to record videos in HD (720p), complemented by a front-facing camera (VGA) that would enable video calling while on the go.

But this is not all, as the new device comes with a powerful 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon application processor packed inside, which should provide users with enough raw power to run various applications and games.

At the same time, the new Sony Ericsson Xperia mini comes with 3G connectivity options, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, in addition to a 3.5 mm audio jack, USB port, and built-in GPS receiver.

The mobile phone also sports a microSD memory card slot aimed at expanding the around 340MB of available internal memory.

Not to mention that it comes to the market with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform on board, and with a new, improved interface from Sony Ericsson, with up to 16 apps displayed on the home screen, and with integration with social networking sites.
