It seems that Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a can finally be purchased in the United States via Sony Style, although this comes with a delay of around a month. According to the latest news on the Web, the official Sony US store now has the high-end Xperia X1a Windows Mobile smartphone in stock, and it can be acquired not only online, but also from some retail locations.

The price of the handset in the US seems to be set at $799, yet it appears that the actual price, the one that would also include all taxes, is of $867, at least this is what the guys from WMExperts state.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a comes with North American HSDPA support, yet, interestingly enough, the design of the phone is similar to that of the original X1. Even so, what’s most important is that it made it to the US market. As it comes unlocked, all you need to do is come up with about $900 that you are willing to spend on it and you'll have it in almost no time.

The handset has been awaited for quite some time in North America, as the initial launch date was delayed from November to the end of December, and now to January. Xperia has been listed on Best Buy a few times, with the pre-order or coming soon adds beside it, yet now it seems that enthusiasts have a reason to rejoice. The smartphone has finally made it in stores.

By the end of this year, Sony Ericsson is also expected to launch the Xperia X2, which will be manufactured by Mobinnova, a subsidiary of Foxconn. In the meantime, you should check the images of Xperia X1a published by WMExperts to see whether the device appeals to you or not.
