Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson seems set to announce officially the existence of its first handset powered by Google's Android operating system on November 3, or at least this is what a recently launched teaser web page points at. The What's Next page on Sony Ericsson's website shows that the company will make an announcement come November 3, while some elements on the page are reportedly pointing towards the already known Rachael handset, aka the Android-based XPERIA X3.

The handset vendor has already been expected to make an announcement regarding its first mobile phone powered by the Google Android operating system in November, and it seems that rumors are finally panning out. The web page has a “To Sony Ericsson Home page“ link on it, which includes the Rachael name, as shown by the guys over at se-blog, and which shows that said Android phone might turn into the main character of that day.

Moreover, se-blog also shows a tweet from Sony Ericsson South Africa, which shows clearly that Rachael will be announced on November 3. Since all clues point in the same direction, we can only sit and wait for Sony Ericsson to announce its first Android phone, and we can also hope that the device will prove to be and to include what we've all been expecting already.

The rumored spec list of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 (recently rumored to come to the market as X10) should include a 1GHz processor, a 4.1-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen display, an 8.1-megapixel photo snapper with touch focus, smile shutter, face detection, ISO settings, and more, 32GB of internal storage, as well as great support for social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace.

There are no details available for the moment on the handset's availability or pricing, yet some of the previous rumors suggested that it wouldn't come to the market before the first quarter of next year, so we might have to wait a little longer before seeing it on the shelves. Even so, we can always hope that Sony Ericsson will announce a closer launch date.
