Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, the first mobile phone from the Japanese-Swedish joint venture that runs under Google's Android operating system, has been announced officially at the beginning of this month, yet we won't be able to see it available on shelves until February next year. However, those who would like to take a closer look at the device should skip to the bottom of this article for a new video hands-on with it.

Sony Ericsson's Android-based XPERIA X10 does look great, and the video below, available courtesy of hdblog.it, shows exactly this state of facts. Moreover, it seems that the handset is running under a newer version of the software, which enables it to be much faster and more responsive. For what it's worth, the handset seems set to prove that it will be one of the most appealing Android-based mobile phones when it reaches the market.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 has been seen into the wild for the first time quite a while ago, when it was known as XPERIA X3. Its user interface, dubbed Rachael, was able to impress at that time, too, and now more than ever. However, the exact launch date for the handset is still unknown and February 2010 is only a possible time frame for its availability. Moreover, it seems that only Europe might receive it at that time, and it still remains to be seen when it will reach other markets around the world.

Sony Ericsson might have been a little late to the Android party, yet it surely managed to come up with a great device. The XPERIA X10 sports a 4.0-inch touchscreen display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor, an 8.1-megapixel photo snapper, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB, GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, microSD memory card slot, speakerphone, and support for a wide range of Google services, not to mention the pre-loaded applications it comes around with.
