Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson officially announced about ten days ago the existence of its first handset powered by Google's Android operating system, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10. The rumors on this device go back about half a year, when it was known as the XPERIA X3, or Rachael, yet we should be waiting for a few months more before it arrives on the market.

However, a series of videos with the first Android phone from Sony Ericsson previously emerged as well, and, although they were appealing enough, they only showed some yet unfinished variants of the device. However, the XPERIA X10 can now be admired both in a new commercial and in a longer 8-minute video that also displays the attractive Rachael user interface.

The handset in itself is a very nice-looking piece of hardware, with the fast Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor inside, a large touchscreen display and a very attractive exterior finish. Moreover, it seems that Sony Ericsson is stressing a lot on the experience that XPERIA X10 is capable of delivering to users, which shows that it has paid a lot of attention to the UI the handheld features, something that can only make users happy.

Most of you might already be familiar with what the upcoming device will include in terms of specs and features, yet the second video embedded at the bottom of this article will offer you an even better image of what to expect, even if it is in Spanish. Features like Timescape, Mediascape, the browser, maps, and the handset's calendar, all of which Sony Ericsson announced as being included with the upcoming device, can be seen in the video, so it won't be a waste of time to take a look at it.

The expected launch window for Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X10 is the first quarter of the next year, and the handset vendor has already announced that a North American variant of the phone will also come to the market. However, exact details on the markets that will receive the device should emerge in the future, and the same applies to the price tag it will feature.
