Sony Ericsson W580 has been announced for quite a while now. It looks that it will hit the US market too. The handset will come at Cellular One network, although people might have expected it to be seen with major carriers.

Sony Ericsson W580 comes packed with evolved Walkman phone performances. At only 14 mm in thickness, the handset proves to be one of the slimmest slider phones and also manages to respond to a large number of telecom needs coming from its user. The Walkman Sony Ericsson line of phones is well known for providing the best sound quality and music performances when compared to other handsets and the W580 does not break that pattern.

This phone has been designed especially for providing entertainment solutions to its user. It looks modern, evolved and highly stylish, in the slider form factor. It comes in two colors, either gray or white, both just as appealing and fashionable.

The phone has a 2 inch display screen and a 2 megapixel camera also capable of video recording. For a handset which prides with its music rendering performances it proves to be quite useful to have it capable of some pretty high camera performances too.

Sony Ericsson W580 has a Walkman 2.0 music player and brings its user the TrackID music recognition service. On the sound side, there is also an FM radio included, if the personal songs prove to be insufficient. Some might do very well with the 512 MB memory card, although other people will consider it to be constraining, especially if it needs to store various types of media files.

Sony Ericsson W580 will be available from now on in Cellular One stores. The Walkman phone comes for USD 150 with a two-year contract, a spicy price for the performances that the device is capable of reaching.
