The latest Walkman handset launched by Sony Ericsson is the W350i, an entry-level device that was first unveiled a few months ago, during CES 2008. The phone is now listed on the SE website as being available, although no carrier offers it yet. Anyway, it's just a matter of time until this will happen and, most probably, the new W350i will be available for purchase in the next days/weeks.

Presented as being "small but roomy", Sony Ericsson W350i measures 104 x 43 x 10.5 millimeters (4.1 x 1.7 x 0.4 inches), weighs only 80 grams (2.8 ounces) and it comes with a "flip cover" over its keypad, a cover that includes music-dedicated keys.

Among the new phone's features, we have: tri-band GSM connectivity with EDGE, a 1.9 inch TFT screen with 176 x 220 pixels and 262K colors, Walkman player with lots of audio formats supported, TrackID, PlayNow, FM radio with RDS, NetFront browser, push e-mail, Instant Messaging, RSS feeds reader, Media Manager, 3D gaming abilities, Java MIDP 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, a 1.3 Megapixel camera with video and 14MB of internal memory (a 512MB card comes with the handset so users will have enough space to store their favorite music). The lightweight Walkman phone includes a battery that should provide up to 7 hours of talk-time and up to 300 hours of stand-by time.

Besides Europe, Sony Ericsson W350i will also be available in China (as W350c) and in Brazil (as W350a), in three color versions: Electric black, Ice white and Graphic blue. Its exact price is not known for the moment, but it should be somewhere between $200 and $250 (130 - 160 Euros).

We've spotted a video presentation of the new W350i, which you can find at the end of the article. A longer and better quality video can be seen on the phone's official page, found at this address. Enjoy!
