Two of Sony Ericsson's new candybars from its 2008 line-up, the W302 and K330, should be commercially available in the next few days, as the Swedish-Japanese company has removed their "coming soon" tags.

Although Sony Ericsson should have presented a brand-new phone today (the G705, codenamed Kumiko), it seems that mobile users will have to be happy only with the W302 and K330, first announced by SE several months ago.

Obviously representing the Walkman series of phones, the W302 was unveiled by Sony Ericsson at the same time with the high-end W902 and the W595 slider. The W302 is presented as an affordable music phone, hence it doesn't bring too many advanced features. Still, the handset would probably be a good choice for users who only need a mid-featured device.

Weighing only 78 grams and measuring 100 x 46 x 10.5 millimeters, Sony Ericsson W302 offers the following: a 2 inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels and 256K colors, quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Walkman Player with TrackID, FM radio with RDS, a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording, email and Web browser, 20MB of built-in memory, a 512MB M2 card included in the package and a battery said to last up to 7 hours in talk-time mode or up to 300 hours in stand-by mode. The handset should be available in two color versions, Midnight Black and Sparkling White, for a price that is currently not known.

Sony Ericsson K330, the second candybar that will be soon in stores, is not as advanced as the W302, being mainly targeted to emerging mobile markets. The phone features a 1.7 inch TFT display with 65K colors and 128 x 160 pixels, dual-band GSM connectivity with GPRS only, MP3 player, FM radio, Bluetooth, a VGA camera, torch functionality and only 10MB of internal memory. Measuring 100 x 45 x 12 millimeters and weighing 75 grams, the K330 packs a battery similar to the one of W302. The price of K330 was not announced, but neither of its versions (Gold on Black and Green on Black) should cost more than 150 USD.
