Mobile phone carrier Vodafone has recently put on a pre-order status one of the newly announced handsets from the Japanese-Swedish joint venture Sony Ericsson, namely the Symbian-based Vivaz. The new stylish, curved handset comes to the market in the UK in Moon Silver and Venus Ruby, while being packed inside with a great deal of high-end features, and can now be ordered in advance from Vodafone's online store.

Among the capabilities of the new device, we can count the 8.1-megapixel photo snapper that also boasts 4 x digital zoom and face and smile detection, as well as a crystal-clear 3.2 inch high definition widescreen display, which can prove great for viewing images or videos captured with the camera. Moreover, those who would like to share the captured photos or videos with their friends can easily do so via the Wi-Fi connectivity options the Sony Ericsson Vivaz comes around with.

One of the main features of the new mobile phone is its HD video capability, which enables users to shoot and broadcast their experiences while also benefiting from the latest video capture advancements. Not to mention that the camera also includes auto focus capabilities, so that one can capture life moments in the highest quality.

One will find it quite easy to personalize the experience delivered by the handset through the installation of various applications on Vivaz, as it comes with the Symbian platform on board, and offers access to a wide range of applications through the PlayNow and the Symbian Developer Community. And there are also the Sony Ericsson Media Player and Bluetooth Stereo included with the phone, so that music lovers won't feel left outside.

According to Vodafone UK, it will launch the new Sony Ericsson Vivaz on its airwaves for free with a 30 GBP per month 24-month price plan, which also includes 600 minutes, unlimited texts and mobile Internet. Those interested in the handset will find it available on the carrier's website here.
