It appears that Sony Ericsson decided to put the TrackID application, previously pre-loaded only on Xperia phones, up on the Android Market.

Starting this week anyone with a compatible Android device will be able to download the standalone version of TrackID.

With TrackID users can identify a certain song and add it to their playlist or they can simply download it for later listening. The “Share” features is included as well, and allows users to share the song they are currently listening on their Facebook page by simply using the “Like” button.

Sony Ericsson’s TrackID application is now available as a free download via Android Market and is compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.

However, users have already started to report on the app’s availability and compatibility, and it appears that TrackID is not available in all countries yet. It’s not even compatible with all smartphones running Froyo or Gingerbread.
