Nothing official yet

A few days ago, some images of a new and mysterious Sony Ericsson slider appeared, without details about its features or about its name. We now have some good news and some bad news for you, from the same SE4m Sony Ericsson dedicated forum that leaked the above mentioned images. The good news is that the slider's name has been (unofficially yet) revealed: it's Sony Ericsson T303. The bad news is that the phone doesn't have the specs we hoped for.

First of all, Sony Ericsson T303 has a rather small display with a 128 x 160 pixel resolution. In the first pics we saw the phone, standing next to Sony Ericson W910, T303's screen seemed to be at least as big as the one of W910 (2.4 inches and 240 x 320 pixels). Well, it turned out to be only a half of that.

Another feature that we hoped to be more evolved is the handset's camera, a 1.3 Megapixel one that will not be able to offer pictures at a high-quality (not even a mediocre quality). Furthermore, Sony Ericsson T303 only works on GSM networks and offers GPRS connectivity, it comes with three soft-keys and a fast-port on its left side. Other specs are still unknown for the moment.

Although it's low-featured, Sony Ericsson T303 is still a good looking phone. It should be available for an affordable price in two colors, black and silver, but there's no word about the exact release date.

A thought indirectly related to the T303 slider: I'm curious where exactly does the T-series fit in Sony Ericsson's new way of naming its phones. The most evolved handset from this series is Sony Ericsson T650 (a phone that could very well be integrated into the Cyber-shot family), while all the other devices are entry-level.
