Pink phones everywhere tremble at the thought of being replaced by purple ones, which look much more fashionable now. Sony Ericsson S500 also went with the trend and officially added this color in its range.

Sony Ericsson S500 is, above all, a statement phone that is supposed to emanate style and a strong personal style, more than any other devices are capable of. The producer has announced this new color, along with the copper one some while ago, but has just introduced them on the list of official photos on their website.

Sony Ericsson named the new color Purple Ice, probably because of the cold impression that it leaves. The company has inspired this line of devices from the nature itself, following the changes that it brings during the day.

All phones in this line, no matter their color, bring various menus that will constantly change as the day moves into night. Moreover, its lights automatically glow to indicate different times of the day or the changing seasons, leaving the impression of an internal biorhythm. This makes it feel highly personal and adds a touch of impressive innovation to the slider phone.

Sony Ericsson S500 has a 2 inch display screen and a 2 megapixel camera with 4x zoom, capable of taking some average quality pictures. It also adds support for a wide variety of music files, in order to take care of providing enough entertainment for the user. The handset also comes equipped with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, as well as a Memory Stick Micro expansion slot, for providing as much data storage space as possible for the user.

Purple looks great on Sony Ericsson S500, but so did the previous colors too. Which one is the most appealing is a matter of taste, although the new fashionable color makes tough competition for the others. The producers have mentioned nothing on the markets where the Ice Purple S500 phone will be released.
