The manufacturer's latest mobile phones

About 3 weeks ago, Sony Ericsson released quite a few mobile phones, among which two new additions to its Cybershot and Walkman phone families, the K810i and the W880i.

Because most mobile phone manufacturers are currently competing for earning the 'most hi-tech phone' title with one of their products, like Nokia is doing with their N95 or Apple with the iPhone, it was somewhat of a surprise that Sony Ericsson unveiled some phones that weren't all that exciting.

Opinions may vary on this and while some people think the two phones are stunning and exciting, others will think they are plain boring.

Frankly, the phones really don't offer anything innovative, but this doesn't make them less appealing, because they are updated versions of products that were innovative when released. The new and improved phones are a great choice for people that have been using Sony Ericsson handsets up until now and want something slightly better but with generally the same style and functionality.

Sony Ericsson is basically taking a product that has been very successful and improves it further, instead of releasing something completely new that may or may not appeal to the customers. And there's no reason to completely change something that customers are satisfied with in the first place.

The W880i is very likely to become a huge hit for Sony Ericsson, being a super-slim Walkman phone, with all the features Sony Ericsson's other music phones include.

The mobile phone manufacturer has already released commercials for the two new handsets which are bound to make people even more thrilled and anxious to see the two phones in flesh. You can see the promo video for the K810i here, and the one for the W880i here.
