Now that the Ai is released

Rumor has it that Sony Ericsson is preparing yet another mobile phone, this time dedicated to American tennis star Lindsay Davenport and dubbed 'Lindsay'.

Apparently, the 'Lindsay' will be a part of the Walkman family of mobile phones, will measure just 14mm thickness and come in a slider form factor.

Nothing more is known about it, and features remain a mystery for the time being. It is known that Sony Ericsson is a sponsor of the WTA Tour and has always supported women's tennis.

This would be the second phone they were to present that was dedicated to a tennis star. They have previously announced the Ai phone, dedicated to Japanese tennis player Ai Sugiyama, which was released just a few weeks ago under the name of W880.

In the case of the Ai, there were plenty of rumors and no actual facts until very close to its release. Hopefully, in the case of the 'Lindsay' we won't have to wait that long until some information regarding its features and photos are revealed.

In the meantime, Sony Ericsson's focusing on low and mid-end mobile phones only is starting to be somewhat annoying and some people are still expecting the phone manufacturer to amaze the public with a better and smarter phone.

Sadly, for now it looks like this is not going to happen, as just like most of their newly released phones, the Lindsay is apparently going to be another mid-level handset with no 3G or very advanced features. It will, however, be available in three colors, including green and should be announced by the mobile phone manufacturer sometime this year.
