And features partially revealed

Just a couple of days ago several rumors regarding Sony Ericsson phones showed up. According to them, Sony Ericsson was planning, among other phones, to also release a new device from the P series, the P700i. Most of Sony Ericsson's P series phones released so far were quite amazing. Although mainly targeting the business users, they also included a camera and quite a few multimedia capabilities.

However, things slightly changed when the P990i was released and many Sony Ericsson phone users, especially professionals, were very disappointed with the device, comparing it to the previous P series models.

Well, hopefully, the new P700i, that should be released soon enough, will make up for the lack of popularity of the P990i. As expected, specs and leaked photos have already showed up on the net (posted by a user on a forum) revealing a quite promising device that many people will be very interested in.

Its features are said to include 3G capabilities, WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity, a 2.6 inch color screen with a QVGA resolution as well as a 3.2 megapixel camera with duplex LED light. While its features are quite appealing, they aren't anything you haven't seen included in a smartphone before.

So, what's so special about this particular handset, then? The fact that it can easily be used both as a productivity tool and an entertainment/multimedia device. This is quite a rare thing when talking about Sony Ericsson phones, since the manufacturer still continues to make phones that are dedicated to either business users, music enthusiasts or people that are into quality camera phones, but never all the types of users at the same time.

The P700i has pretty much the same form factor and keypad as the M600i, but a slightly improved, more stylish design. Of course, as in the case of many other rumored phones, there's absolutely no way to tell when we'll get to see Sony Ericsson officially announce this handset.
