Sony Ericsson has just launched their P1i smartphone in India. The handset packs all business solutions meant to live up to the high demands of mobile phone users in need of the most evolved mobile technology.

The device has been out on the market for several months, but has reached the mobile phone market in India only now. Sony Ericsson P1i packs the same unusual keypad that the M600 handset used to have. With this, it promises to bring a great amount of comfort at typing large texts, without needing the large amount of space that QWERTY keypads do.

Sony Ericsson P1i is the successor of the P990 handset, although highly different. It packs some of the most evolved performances when it comes to providing business solutions. The smartphone has a 3 way-input via touchscreen keyboard, a Business Card Scanner, a GPS application, BlackBerry support and handwriting recognition too. These are among the most evolved solutions that mobile phones are capable of providing nowadays for their users and very few handsets manage to pack them all.

The 2.6 inch touchscreen also has a Transreflective Display, which makes it considerably easier to read even when in bright sunlight. Sony Ericsson P1i also comes equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, meant to provide captures of a quality above average.

The internal memory is of only 160 MB, more than insufficient for what the device is capable of doing for his owner. There is also a Memory Sick Micro (M2) included, for the extra amount of data storage space which will surely prove to be useful.

Sony Ericsson P1i will be available from now on in India too, for the price of Rs. 24,000. People will be able to buy it from some of the leading outlets and Sony Ericsson Experience stores.
