A new Sony Ericsson handset is now available for purchase in the UK, on the airwaves of wireless carrier O2, namely the Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman.

The new Mix Walkman phone was made available at O2 on the wireless carrier's Pay & Go plans, with a price tag of £79.99 attached to it (around $125 / 92 Euros).

The new device was unveiled to the world earlier this year as one of the latest devices that Sony Ericsson brings to its Walkman series of phones.

The mobile device packs a 3-inch WQVGA TFT touchscreen display, along with a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with video recording capabilities.

The handset was also packed with a series of features and capabilities that are specific to a music device, and capabilities present on all phones that keep users socially connected.

“Style your full-touch Walkman music phone with exchangeable bands. Exclusive to O2, your phone comes with bands in pink and gold,” the wireless carrier notes.

“Zap your way to your tunes. Join the party. Post it on Facebook using free Wi-Fi. Ready to sing the night away? Press the microphone key and start the Karaoke session.

“Add your five best friends from your phonebook to the Friends app. See at a glance what they're saying about your night out. On Facebook, in mails and by text.”

The specifications list of this mobile phone also includes a Zappin key, which offers users the possibility to listen the first song's chorus, to see whether they would like to hear the entire track or not.

Moreover, the device arrives on shelves with a microSD memory card slot that offers users the possibility to expand the available 256MB of internal memory of this device by up to 32GB.

FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth, WiFi, UMTS HSPA, GSM GPRS/EDGE/ WiFi radios, Walkman Player, support for email (POP3, SMTP and IMAP4) and the like were included with this device as well.

“The touch user interface makes navigation truly intuitive - whether you're browsing the media menu, adjusting your camera settings or playing music. You can do everything with ease, direct from your phone,” O2 also notes.
