Sony Ericsson came up with a new competition for music fans, this time for the ones of Leona Lewis, the British pop/R&B female singer. The competition addresses only to Australian fans, so those not living there can only wait for Sony Ericsson to initiate a similar contest in their country too.
Leona Lewis will be performing live in Sidney, on April 29,
at the Museum of Contemporary Art, during an exclusive event organized by Sony Ericsson. To get there, fans can't buy tickets, because there aren't any available, but they can enter the SE competition. Besides access to the concert, participants also have the chance to go backstage and meet Leona Lewis. Moreover, five lucky winners will also get a Sony Ericsson W980i each – the Walkman phone has Leona's new album, "Spirit", pre-loaded on it.
There are two ways of entering the new contest, via two sub-competitions. The first is called ‘"Sing Like Leona" and requires fans to record a video with them singing Leona's hit "Bleeding love". Then participants must upload the video on a YouTube channel (found at
this address) and wait to see if their singing skills are good or awful.
The second sub-competition is called "I Love Leona". To win, you only have to write, in no more than 25 words, the reasons why you want to go to Leona's concert. Be careful not to write inappropriate stuff – I'm not sure it will be appreciated. The entries can be made on the contest's website, found at
this address.
During the April 29 concert, Leona Lewis (age 23) will be performing songs from her highly successful "Spirit" album. This being said, if you're in Australia and a pop/R&B night with Leona Lewis is what you've always wanted, enter the Sony Ericsson competition and hope you'll be among the winners.
