Last month, Sony Ericsson announced the availability of a new mobile phone running under Google's Android operating system, one that was also packed with the features and capabilities that its Walkman devices did, namely the Live with Walkman, which is now expected to arrive on shelves at Three UK soon.

The same as the latest Xperia smartphone from Sony Ericsson, the new device comes to the market with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board, and can offer a wide range of high-end features to users.

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman seems set to arrive on the airwaves of Three in the UK as soon as September, at least this is what the coming soon page it is listed on the wireless carrier's website reads.

No exact info on its pricing is available for the time being, but it should prove an affordable option for users interested in enjoying both the capabilities of an Android device, as well as the features of a Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson.

“Enjoy the best of Android and Walkman in this powerful smartphone,” the wireless carrier notes on the aforementioned webpage.

“This compact, stylish Sony Ericsson has a dedicated Walkman key and integrated Facebook – perfect for discovering and sharing new music. You’ll also experience amazing sound thanks to the xLOUD speaker.”

The specifications list of the new mobile phone shows a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, the same as this year's Xperia family, as well as a dedicated Walkman key for music lovers.

The handset also includes the aforementioned xLOUD speaker, along with an 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with flash and HD video recording.

It also comes with 3G connectivity, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, a microSD memory card slot for expanding the available storage space, and the like.

Users interested in getting the smartphone from Three UK will see it listed on the carrier's website here. They can also register there for receiving updates on its availability.
