Sony Ericsson mobile phone concepts are some of the most impressive ones that seem to show up. The latest one that has managed to arouse the interest of many people is the Konan: Beauty Renaissance 2.0 one.

It is rather strange how Sony Ericsson seems to be the only handset producer that manages to inspire people to develop new concepts. Another interesting thing is that there are only slight common grounds with the line of mobile phones that this producer offers. In fact, these concepts could be very well attributed to any other such company, as they seem to represent none and all together at the same time.

The Konan: Beauty Renaissance 2.0 concept looks interesting, but it's still vague what Sony Ericsson has got to do with it. Moreover, the handset producer never takes these creations into consideration and all of them remain nothing more but innovative concepts, no matter how interesting they might be.

The Konan phone has a name that does not suggest much. The first thought would be that of a bulky, resistant device, that would best suit hunks running around shirtless (similar to Conan the Barbarian). Instead, we have a mobile phone that proves to be incredibly easy to customize through its external large WQVGA screen. This allows the user to put up to 6 different images on the standby display and set them to change in time as wished.

The Sony Ericsson Konan phone proves to be a music one, as it also includes some evolved sound rendering capabilities. In order to make this possible, it uses Media Player 3.0 for best handling media files. Moreover, NetFront always presents PC-configured web pages the mobile way.

To solve the mystery of the Konan name that this Sony Ericsson concept uses, it stands for "little (thing) from the south". That sounds just like a caressing view on the mobile phone, one that matches the emotional feeling of the changing images.
