A while ago, Sony Ericsson has announced shipping 4.5 billion Cybershot mobile phones since the launch of the K800 last summer. Seeing how popular these phones have become, the mobile phone manufacturer is now presenting two more of their appealing camera phones. One of them, the K810 could be considered an upgraded version of the K800.

So, where's the difference between the K800 and the K810, you may ask. Well, first of all, the K810 is a sleek and considerably slimmer handset, measuring only 17mm and boasting a 3.2 megapixel camera that comes with auto focus and a Xenon flash.

To further improve the quality of the photos Sony Ericsson has also provided several applications such as Photo Fix, for optimizing brightness and contrast.

Also, compared to its older brother, the K810 comes with 3G/UMTS capabilities enabling high-speed data transfer and video calling.

In order to share the snapshots you take with the camera phone you are provided with several options including Bluetooth and USB 2.0. The days when you used to care about lighting conditions are also over with the Xenon flash with red eye reduction that you can use to take snapshots in low-light conditions.

"Worldwide, consumers are realizing that the best digital camera is the one you have with you," says Steve Walker, head of global product marketing at Sony Ericsson. "The K800/K790 introduced last year established the Cyber-shot phone as a credible fusion of phone and camera. Now the K810 and K550 move the market forward by introducing new applications and providing real improvements in the customer experience. Attractive price points also mean Cyber-shot phones are available to a whole new audience."

The Sony Ericsson K810 Cybershot phone is a UMTS 2100, GSM 900/1800/1900 device that will be available in two color varieties, Noble Blue and Golden Ivory. It is expected to start shipping in Europe and Asia in the second quarter of this year.
