Sony Ericsson G900 and G700, two of the latest candybar phones unveiled by the Swedish-Japanese company, are now presented in new teaser videos, anticipating their official release.

Announced back in February, during MWC 2008, the phones are the first from Sony Ericsson's Web and Multimedia oriented G-series family that comprises what SE calls "touchscreen organizer" handsets.

The G900 is truly a high-end mobile phone, packing features like a 2.4 TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels and 256K colors, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilizer, flash and video, Wi-Fi, tri-band GSM (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and UMTS 2100 connectivity, Symbian UIQ, advanced one-touch organizer, Music and Video players, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, push email, Opera browser, Instant Messaging, 160MB of internal memory, microSD card support and so on. The phone measures 106 x 49 x 13 millimeters and weighs 99 grams, so it's not only highly equipped but also slim and lightweight.

The G700 is quite similar to the G900 model in terms of design, size and features. The difference is that the G700 will be available only in Silk Bronze, while the G900 will have two color versions: Dark Brown and Dark Red. Moreover, the G700 doesn't feature Wi-Fi and its camera is only a 3 Megapixel one. Even so, the phone is still a very nice one and it will probably attract many mobile users, especially since its price will be lower than the one of G900.

The official release date of both G700 and G900 is set for the second quarter of 2008 and, since June is the last month of this quarter, it seems that it won't be long before the handsets hit the market. While we're waiting for this to happen, we can patiently watch the two videos with the Gseries phones.
