Theoretically

Sony Ericsson seems to be releasing its latest handsets without officially announcing their availability. This was the case with W760 as well as with the W350i, and now other two phones are (at least theoretically) available: G900 and G700.

Until a few days ago, G900 and G700 appeared on the Sony Ericsson website as "coming soon", but now the coming soon note disappeared, so the handsets should be available for purchase in the next few days.

First unveiled at the beginning of the year, Sony Ericsson G700 and G900 are part of the new G-series line-up, together with the more-recently announced G502 and G702 models. Both G700 and G900 are packed with lots of features, measure 106 x 49 x 13 millimeters and weigh 99 grams.

Among the features of G900 we have a 5 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus, image stabilizer and video recording, a 2.4 inch TFT touchscreen display with 256K colors and a QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels), Wi-Fi, 3G for fast data transfer speeds, one-touch organizer, Bluetooth 2.0, Music player, FM radio, Video player, Opera browser, email, Instant Messaging, USB and 160MB of expandable memory - all running on Symbian UIQ.

G700 is the little brother of G900, having a similar design. Its specs are about the same, except the fact that it lacks Wi-Fi and its camera is a 3.2 Megapixel one.

Although they'll hit the market soon, the prices of G700 and G900 are not known yet. To sustain the quiet release of the handsets, Sony Ericsson made available two video presentations with the G-series phones. If you remember, two teaser videos with the handsets already appeared last week, but the new ones are different. You can watch them in the YouTube clips below:
