Sony Ericsson F305, the first gaming-oriented handset announced by the Swedish-Japanese company, can now be seen in an official video presentation - a cute cartoon-style clip that perfectly describes what the handset can do. The video shows a gang of tiny aliens, playing around with F305 phones and making use of their motion gaming capabilities.

Presented on June 17, together with other four new Sony Ericsson handsets (including the C905 Cyber-shot flagship), the F305 is a slider that falls into the mid-end category. Even so, it's a unique handset, mainly due to the already-mentioned motion gaming abilities. The F305 can provide a realistic gaming experience, allowing users to play games as if they'd do it in reality - much like when playing on a Wii console. Moreover, the phone comes with dedicated gaming keys, stereo speakers, a landscape mode, pre-installed games ("Bowling", "Bass fishing" and "Jockey") and easy access to the PlayNow arena, from where lots of other games can be downloaded.

The rest of the features packed in the F305 include: quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE, a 2 inch TFT display (176 x 220 pixels and 262K colors), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Music player, TrackID, FM radio, a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording, picture blogging, email, Web browser, Instant Messaging, organizer, USB, 10MB of internal memory and Memory Stick Micro card support. The phone measures 96 x 47 x 14.6 (when closed), weighs 97 grams and includes a battery capable of offering up to 8 hours of talk-time and up to 400 hours of stand-by time.

Sony Ericsson said the F305 slider will be commercially available starting the third quarter of the year, in two color versions (black and white). The price of the gaming handset was not yet set, but until you actually need to know how much money the F305 will costs you, enjoy its video presentation:
